Shayne Alleyne-Husbands is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student committed to youth development, substance use prevention, and multicultural counseling. He currently serves as a Substance Abuse Prevention and Intervention Specialist (SAPIS) at Queens Collegiate Middle & High School in New York City, where he designs and facilitates evidence-informed groups and mentorship programs. In addition, he serves as a SAPIS counselor at the High School for Leadership, providing mentorship and leadership initiatives that promote academic success, positive identity, and social-emotional growth. Shayne’s emerging clinical orientation integrates Person Centered Therapy, emphasizing culturally responsive, strengths-based practice and collaborative goal setting. He is completing supervised training toward clinical licensure and is dedicated to community partnership, advocacy, and ethical, data-informed care for adolescents and families.
